Ebley Tyre Services And Cam Systems
Ebley Tyre Services was a successful Gloucestershire-based chain of over 20 fast fit tyre and exhaust centres built up by majority shareholder Trevor Allen, which was sold to Kwik Fit in 1998.
At the same time, Trevor had also acquired a minority stake in Cam Systems, a developer of specialist software for the tyre trade, and which is now the UK market leader. After the sale of Ebley, he became more involved with that business.
Trevor's son Mike had also established his own company, which merged with Cam and, following some restructuring, the Allen family took control of Cam Systems. Mike and Trevor have also subsequently established All Fleet Services, another very successful Gloucester-based business, which provides a range of call-centre based services to the fleet and automotive market. Cam's turnover in 2007 was £2.7m; All Fleet's was £1.3m.
Trevor Allen is a loyal and longstanding client for whom Nick Mayers and Tim Davies acted whilst at KPMG, and who then followed them into Davies Mayers when it was formed in 1992.
