Saracen Care

SaracenCare.jpgSaracen Care Services provide domiciliary care for vulnerable adults with high dependency needs.  Service users are typically people with complex learning or physical disabilities, mental health problems or sensory loss.  Based in Gloucestershire, Saracen’s mission is to assist their service users to live their life as independently as possible.

Julia Everard, Director at Saracen, said ‘changing our accountants was not an exercise that we undertook lightly.   It was very important to us to have pro-active and personal service in support of our statutory requirements, but also additional advice and guidance that we could call upon when needed’.

Nick Mayers takes care of the compliance obligations for Saracen, in terms of business accounts and corporation tax, and the personal tax team provide support to both Julia and fellow Director Jonathan Mawdesley-Thomas with their personal tax returns.  Furthermore, Nick provided advice to Julia and Jonathan in relation to property matters arising from ownership structures and rental issues.  This has helped them to arrange their affairs in a way that reduces their future tax burden on the ultimate disposal of business property.

Julia noted, ‘DMB were personally  recommended to us and we have been impressed with the high degree of personal service provided by Nick and his staff.  Our accounts are explained to us in a way that we can fully understand and the tax aspects of both our personal and business affairs are similarly made clear.  We feel that they really make an effort to understand our business and our needs.’
