Through our early investment in cloud based technology, many of our clients in the owner-managed sector are already enjoying the benefits of using online bookkeeping software and are well-positioned for the proposed introduction of digital record keeping and quarterly reporting.
HM Revenue & Customs’ Making Tax Digital document sets out its plan for a fully digital tax system by 2020 with the requirement for online quarterly reports coming as early as 2018 for some. Bookkeeping software will soon become a necessity and cloud-based systems are likely to be the preferred option as they allow users to make the most of the technology available without having to invest too heavily in software and hardware.
We work with clients using a number of products and can advise on the most suitable one for your business.

We have for several years operated a free web portal service that creates a secure environment in which clients can exchange documents with us electronically. Quick and simple to use, our portal service cuts out the time and costs involved with posting documents. The web portal also allows clients to digitally approve certain PDF documents. Certain documents can be sent for approval and returned in moments with a unique identifier as signature.
Being a cloud-based solution, there is no software for our clients to install, run and maintain. The web portal service is compliant with the provisions of the Electronic Communications Act and the UK rules on data protection. Only the client and ourselves have access to documents in the portal.
